Another busy, fun filled week here in Afternoon Nursery! We started this week celebrating ‘Love’ for St.Dwynwyn’s Day. We made some beautiful love spoons to take home, decorated with glitter and chocolate (foil covered) hearts – the perfect combination! We continued learning about Poland for our topic – we are really enjoying hearing the beautiful language. The children have clearly enjoyed dancing to some Polish tunes!
In Maths we explored the concept of ‘Money’ – we talked about what money is used for and how we get/earn money. We then opened our own sweet shop in class – the children had to identify the number on the sweet packet and count the correct number of coins. The sweets were then enjoyed by all as a treat for their hard work. Next week we are going to have a look at the different values on some of the coins. Today we enjoyed ‘Show and Tell’ and played a super game of ‘Bingo’. We have some very good ‘Bingo’ players in our class! I am so proud of every one of these little Darlings!
