We started this week celebrating ‘Love’ for St.Dwynwyn’s Day. We made some beautiful love spoons to take home, decorated with glitter and chocolate (foil covered) hearts – the perfect combination! We continued learning about Poland for our topic – we are really enjoying hearing the beautiful language. The children have clearly enjoyed dancing to some Polish tunes!
In Maths we explored the concept of ‘Money’ – we talked about what money is used for and how we get/earn money. We then opened our own sweet shop in class – the children had to identify the number on the sweet packet and count the correct number of coins. The sweets were then enjoyed by all as a treat for their hard work. Next week we are going to have a look at the different values on some of the coins. Today we enjoyed ‘Show and Tell’ and played a super game of ‘Bingo’. We have some very good ‘Bingo’ players in our class! I am so proud of every one of these little Darlings!
